Computer skill training is the next item on the agenda for the FTMTA Skillnet network. FTMTA Skillnet will be staging Word and Excel training programmes at the FTMTA Training Centre in Naas in a series of courses designed to suit the needs of those working in the farm machinery industry.
FTMTA members who were surveyed in 2007 reported a significant interest in computer skill training. The survey showed that 50% of members requested training in Word, Excel and Access as tools towards the further development of their farm machinery businesses.
These are one-day courses, which are being provided by SureSkills, specialist training providers, at a cost of €200 for FTMTA members and €250 for non-members. Call Liam McDonnell at FTMTA 045-409309 or email ftmtaskillnet@eircom.net for further information.
