RECRUITMENT firm Marlborough IT has joined forces with training group Sureskills.com in a novel approach to the current skills shortage. Marlborough will identify suitable people who do not necessarily have the exact technology skills which are required for a particular job. SureSkills will then train these new recruits to meet the demands of Marlborough's clients. It is hoped the initiative will go some way to increasing the pool of qualified candidates in the IT sector.
The training aims to `upskill' people through intensive training in the areas which are in high demand. Marlborough said that there was a growing number of experienced IT professionals who do not have up-to-date technology skills.
Courses will be customised to suit clients' needs and can be carried out over five consecutive days or over a six month period.
